 Bruce Burris is a licensed tour guide and a 7th-generation Charlestonian resident with a lineage that extends back to the colonial era. A true local who brings extensive knowledge of the people, customs, and history of this one-of-a-kind American City with these specialty private tours.

Here are just some of the stops along our tour through the history of Charleston. Join Bruce as he gives an in depth look into some of the oldest buildings not only in the whole city, but in the whole United States.

Unitarian Church

A beautiful church and the worshipping place for early settlers.

The Battery

A road showing off some of the oldest and most unique Victorian homes in Charleston.

Dock Street Theatre

Built within the 1800's, this is the first building in the 13 colonies to be dedicated as a theatre.

Heyward-Washington House

A historic museum where George Washington stayed in 1791 during his visit to the city. 

Marion Square

A wonderful park dedicated to the war hero Francis Marion.

St. Philip's Church

Built in the 1800's, this is one of the most prominent churches in Charleston.
